Terms & Conditions.

Last updated: December 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using lalqilanyc.com (the “Site”) or by making a reservation, placing an order, or otherwise engaging with Lal Qila (the “Restaurant”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Website Use

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations. You may not attempt to interfere with the Site's normal operation, security, or content. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice.

3. Reservations

Reservations are processed through our booking partner. By booking a table, you agree to provide accurate contact details and to honor your reservation. We may release tables held longer than 15 minutes past the booking time. Special events, large parties, holidays, or buyouts may require a deposit or be subject to a separate agreement.

4. Refunds, Cancellations, and Order Issues

We aim to make every visit a good one. The following applies to refunds and order changes:
  • Dine-in cancellations: Reservations may be cancelled or modified up to 4 hours before the booking time without charge. [Owner to confirm window and any deposit/cancellation fee for large parties or special events.]
  • No-show policy: Groups of 6 or more may be charged a per-guest no-show fee if cancellation is not received in advance. [Owner to confirm exact fee.]
  • Online ordering & delivery: Orders placed through DoorDash, Uber Eats, Caviar, or other third-party platforms are subject to those platforms' refund and cancellation policies. We will gladly assist by coordinating with the platform when possible.
  • Incorrect or missing items (pickup): Please contact the restaurant within 24 hours of pickup. We will offer a replacement, credit toward a future visit, or — at our discretion — a refund to the original payment method.
  • Refund eligibility: Refund requests submitted more than 24 hours after the order/visit will be reviewed case by case and may not be granted. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method when feasible; otherwise, we may issue store credit. [Owner to confirm preferred default — original payment vs. store credit.]
  • Refund exclusions: Allergies or dietary preferences not disclosed at the time of ordering, dishes that have been consumed in full, and refusal of substitutions agreed to at order time are not eligible for refund.

5. Online Ordering & Third-Party Links

Our Site may link to third-party services for online ordering, delivery, ride-share, or reservations (e.g., QuickTable, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Caviar). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site or service. Your interactions with these services are subject to their own terms.

6. Menu, Pricing & Availability

All menus, dishes, prices, and offers shown on the Site are illustrative and subject to change without notice. Final menus, modifiers, and prices on the day of your visit or order will govern. Photographs are representative and actual presentation may vary.

7. Food Allergies & Dietary Information

We prepare food in a shared kitchen that handles dairy, nuts (including tree nuts), wheat, gluten, soy, shellfish, fish, eggs, and sulphites. While we take reasonable care to honor dietary requests, we cannot guarantee a fully allergen-free preparation. Guests with severe allergies must inform a manager before ordering and assume responsibility for the final decision to dine with us.

8. Private Dining, Events & Catering

Private dining buyouts, large-group events, and catering are subject to a separate written agreement that may include minimum spends, deposits, cancellation timelines, service fees, gratuity, and event-specific terms. Those terms control to the extent they differ from these general Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including the Lal Qila name, logos, photography, illustrations, copy, recipes, and menu design — is the property of Lal Qila or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lal Qila, its owners, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, reliance on its content, or any food, beverage, or service rendered. Your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue use of the Site.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we use it.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The “Last updated” date below reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
